Hormones & Mental Health: Understanding the Rhythms That Shape Mood and Behavior
🗓️ Friday, Jan 23, 2026 | 🕑 12:00–4:30pm ET | 🎓 4 Core CEs

Not every symptom is anxiety. Not every “low motivation” moment is depression.
Hormones influence mood, cognition, energy, sensory processing, sleep, appetite, and stress — and many clinicians never learn how to recognize those patterns in practice.

Join Krista Day-Gloe, LCSW, for a research-informed training that blends endocrinology, neuroscience, and nervous-system regulation to help you identify hormone-driven vulnerability windows — and treat clients with more accuracy and compassion.

You’ll explore how to:
🌙 Recognize hormonal rhythms across the lifespan
⚖️ Differentiate AFAB vs. AMAB cycles and symptom profiles
🧠 Identify when hormonal fluctuations mimic or intensify DSM-5-TR presentations
🤲 Apply cycle-aware and rhythm-aware strategies in real cases
📈 Use somatic and body-led tools to reduce shame and improve outcomes

This workshop gives you practical clinical methods that go far beyond “it’s just hormones” — and into what’s actually happening inside the human body.

You’ll learn how to:
📚 Generate and narrow a compelling book topic
🧠 Overcome obstacles and avoid getting “stuck” in the writing process
🏷️ Understand traditional vs. indie publishing paths
📢 Master book marketing basics
🤖 Use AI ethically and responsibly in planning, writing, and promotion

This workshop takes you deep into the ethical challenges unique to couples work, including:
❤️ loyalty and confidentiality
❤️ therapist values (when to disclose, when to hold back)
❤️ navigating “secrets” in the therapy room
❤️ deciding between couples therapy, individual therapy, or both
❤️ recognizing when couples therapy is contraindicated
❤️ building ethical, clear informed consent from the very first contact

You’ll walk away with a grounded, practical framework so you’re prepared for the tough moments — the ones that make couples work so challenging and so rewarding.

The Hidden Dynamics of Abuse: Identifying and Treating Intimate Partner Violence

🗓️ Wednesday, Dec 17 | 🕥 10:30am–5:30pm ET | 🎓 6 Core CEs
👉 Register here: www.theknowledgetree.org/p/intimate-partner-violence

Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) — often called domestic violence — is complex, nuanced, and deeply misunderstood. Survivors rarely come forward with a single clear story; instead, their experiences are layered with trauma, grief, manipulation, and ongoing safety concerns.
This advanced workshop will help you recognize, respond to, and treat clients affected by IPV, equipping you with both the insight and the tools to navigate these difficult dynamics safely and effectively.
Learn to differentiate unhealthy relationship patterns from IPV, identify emotional manipulation, and integrate tools like the Power and Control Wheel and safety planning into your clinical work. We’ll also explore the therapist’s role, the toll of vicarious trauma, and how to protect your own well-being as a clinician.
