Hey ya’ll. This page is about Health, Fitness and Nutrition.
I became super motivated to workout in 1981 when my Uncle Eric told me I was going downhill at 26 years old because I became winded running around the yard with the kids. So, I set out to do something about it. I was a stay at home mom of 3 small kids and started working out the very next day in my living room to an exercise show on TV. It became a 5:30am morning ritual and the more I stuck with it the better I felt. I needed an outlet besides watching soap operas, Drinking Dr Peppers and smoking 2 packs of ci******es a day. It didn’t take long to ditch all that! I started incorporating my kids for my weight training. Hopped into bodybuilding competitions in 1986 and hung up my posing suit in 1993 with 17 bodybuilding titles. What a trip!
After 35 plus years in fitness, a Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine, a 7 year veteran of competitive bodybuilding and a fitness model I came to the conclusion that I have a lot to share with those interested in fitness and those wanting to embark on a fitness journey. So, I wrote a book “GO ASK DEBBIE, HEALTH AND FITNESS TIPS FROM A SEASONED EXPERT. You can grab a copy on Amazon and here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/Go-Ask-Debbie-Fitness-Seasoned/dp/1532037929/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541190235&sr=8-1&keywords=Go+Ask+Debbie
I am teaching this content to hopefully make it an easier path for those wanting to start a fitness journey and learn how to eat clean through my nutrition guidelines. I learned everything the hard way and all I really had was motivation and a deep desire to change my health and stay on track. And I did. And I am.
