After being diagnosed with Papilledema (intracranial pressure) in 2018, I was told I had to get the weight off or risk going blind due to severe swelling of the optic nerves. I was 230 pounds. After trying multiple programs with no long-term success, I started reading about GLP’s. Working in the clinical research field, I spoke to several doctors regarding the pros and cons. I immediately understood that in order for me to be successful long term, I needed to make lifestyle changes. I follow a high protein, low fat program and I walk an average of 2-3 miles per day. I didn’t focus on pounds, instead my clothes proved that I was losing weight. I pushed myself by completing my 1st 5k. I am not ashamed to say GLP saved my life! I am the healthiest I have ever been!

Myth: Starting a GLP-1 means you’ll need to take it forever.
Fact: Treatment plans vary. For some patients, GLP-1s may be used as part of a broader, long-term approach that can include adjustments or transitions over time, under medical supervision.
