Ever walk through a colon before? 👀 There's a first time for everything.

This month, Wellstar is hosting free community events across the area to raise awareness about colon cancer screenings. And yes, that includes a walk-through inflatable colon model that's equal parts educational and unforgettable. 😄

Here's the serious part: colorectal cancer has a 91% survival rate when detected early. Screenings are recommended starting at age 45 for most people — sooner if you have a family history.

Our surgery, gastroenterology, cancer care, and community health teams will be on hand to answer your questions. At select events, nurses can help you schedule a colonoscopy right then and there.

Join us TOMORROW at one of these two locations:
📍 Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center — B Entrance March 6 | 8 AM – 4 PM
📍 Wellstar Kennestone Cancer Center March 6 | 11 AM – 1 PM

See the full schedule of dates and locations at the link below. Come learn. Come laugh. Come take care of yourself.

To raise awareness of the importance of colon cancer screenings, Wellstar will host informational events throughout March.

Life doesn’t have to revolve around cancer after a diagnosis. As part of the Wellstar cancer care team, Dr. Leila Wu, a clinical health psychologist, reminds us that mental health is a vital part of whole-person care. She encourages finding small joys like music, a sweet treat or a walk to stay connected to what makes life meaningful. Learn more: wellstar.org/cancersupport
