We have been hard at work for months, so heading to Bury The Hatchet in Inman Park was just the thing!! We have some fiercely competitive people but it's what makes a competitive event like this so much fun! Friendly 'trash-talk' and cheering for some amazing throws what just what the Sykes Team needed.

March 8, 2023 was a celebrity studded day as the Xernona Statue, sculpted by Ed Dwight, was unveiled. Sykes Consulting is proud to have designed the structure to support the Xernona Clayton statue. Being a part of this project, we are a part of the structure of this city, supporting its culture, its history, and its people.

Another amazing Black History icon is Shirley Chisholm

First African American woman elected to Congress.

The oldest of four children born to immigrant parents from Guyana and Barbados, Shirley Chisholm is the first African American woman in Congress. She served seven terms representing the people of New York. Before she entered politics, she earned her master’s degree from Columbia University in early childhood education and worked as a nursery school teacher. Sykes Consulting, Inc. is honored to be part of the team designing the Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center in East Flatbush, New York.
