Cycle Therapy Racing Inc 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping children with mental health challenges by the introduction of cycling.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit promoting cycling for youth mental health. We strive to get children off screens and outdoors by way of bicycles. We encourage all children to try bmx racing as a healthy outlet for their own personal mental health, no matter what struggles they may have.

We recently had the opportunity to produce custom BMX racing jerseys for Cycle Therapy Racing Inc. This project was about more than just performance gear. Cycle Therapy’s main objective is focusing on youth mental health through the introduction of cycling, and we are proud to support that mission through the work we do.

We would like to welcome our newest Board Member, Dr. Edward Hernandez, an avid cyclist and licensed clinical psychologist who has had a wide ranging career that has focused on helping his patients reach their goals in the most fulfilling and healthy manner. He has extensive experience in the areas of crisis management, the management of chronic pain, assessment, and personal development. One cool fact…. Dr. Hernandez has raced bicycles in the past, and with our ties to both BMX and MTB racing, don’t be surprised when he’s wearing a checkered jersey with some of us. We couldn’t be more proud of our small group of riders who attended the Greatest Race on Earth. From Geo racing his first Grands and having fun with his little buddies, to our very own version of a Mini-Grindle Liam Winters stole the show as a 13 year old Grands announcer between rounds. who has had nothing but bad luck this year full of injuries showed up placing 2nd on both bikes, bringing home NAG 6 in 12 Girls and NAG 2 in 11-12 Cruiser. Way to go sister, we are over the moon proud of your success. To our Team Captain who battled the 15 cruiser and 15 expert class making his epic corner moves and reaching the main in cruiser has finished the year off NAG 3 & NAG 8. Great job J-smooth. Last but definitely not least who came out on top on Friday night to take home the ROC #1 plate. We can’t wait to see the red plate next year. Jett finished the season NAG 4 & NAG 7. Congrats on all of your success. Looking forward to 2026 and what all of you will achieve.

We are excited to welcome Chris Jewell to the Cycle Therapy Racing Board of Directors. Chris brings a deep history of bicycle knowledge, exceptional mechanic skills, and years of experience as a dedicated Bike Messenger. His lifelong love of bikes—and his unwavering willingness to help anyone in need—has already made a lasting impact on our organization.

Chris has become an invaluable asset to the underprivileged youth we serve, offering his time, talent, and heart to ensure every child feels supported, confident, and capable on a bike. We are grateful to officially have him join our leadership team and look forward to the positive influence he will continue to bring to our programs and to the Auburn community.
