From Delia, one of our hand therapy patients:

"After breaking my right elbow, I lost almost all range of motion in my dominant arm. Simple daily tasks-using a fork, brushing my hair, getting dressed, sleeping comfortably, or even picking things up-became nearly impossible, and I had to rely on my husband for almost everything. When I started therapy with the DPT and OT team, they immediately designed splints tailored to my recovery, adjusting them as my progress improved.

"Through therapy, my improvements came step by step. My range of motion gradually returned, my strength increased as the exercises became more challenging, and I was finally able to do the daily tasks that once felt impossible. Over time, I regained my independence and the confidence that I could get back to normal life. What once felt overwhelming and out of reach slowly turned into real progress, and now I am almost back to 100%.

"What made my experience unique was the way the OT team cared for me throughout the process. They didn't just focus on the technical side of recovery--they took time to understand my personal goals and adjusted my treatment to match what mattered most to me. Their encouragement and dedication on even the hardest days made me feel supported every step of the way. It truly felt like a team effort to get me back to being myself."

Thank you so much for sharing this experience so eloquently, Delia. Kudos to our hard-working OT/certified hand therapy specialists who make such a difference in their patients' lives.

Testimonials

To Whom It May Concern:

This past January I set a hefty goal that I've contemplated doing for years, I signed up to compete in my first bikini bodybuilding competition. Like most people, I had made many excuses in the past why it wasn't the right time to pursue this interest. I 'm proud to say that I couldn't have made this dream come true without Dunamis Therapy & Fitness Center and its very own personal trainer, Lacey.

There are many ingredients that played a major role in my quest for fitness. I believe that Lacey helped prepare me for success by setting up consultations prior to my start date; where she walked me through the importance of meal prepping, organization, and time management. I left Dunamis Therapy & Fitness Center with the understanding that to make this work, I needed to hold myself accountable. I needed to meal prep on the weekends (this was a must, for my week to be successful). I needed to allot one to two and half hours of strength training and cardio, six days a week. I needed to understand that my bad sugar habits were going to be tough to break, but I had to be tough on myself. She warned me that the first couple of days were going to be rough but it will get easier mentally and physically. I was sore. I was hungry. And well, maybe, a bit crabby. Through every step of the way Lacey was always there to support me on my journey.
