To the mama currently sitting
in a waiting room,
a parking lot,
or on a tiny plastic chair:

I see you.

​There is a unique kind of tired
that comes from a day packed with
PT, OT, and Speech.

It’s the exhaustion of watching your child
work ten times harder than everyone else
just to reach a 'baseline.'

It’s the mental fatigue of tracking
every new sound,
every tiny movement,
and every 'almost' breakthrough.

​Most days,
we are our child’s biggest cheerleader.

But some days?
Some days we are just tired.

Tired of the paperwork,
tired of the clinical terms,
and tired of the constant 'wait and see.'

​If you didn’t do the 'at-home exercises' today because you just wanted to cuddle on the couch and be a mom instead of a therapist
—that is okay.

Your worth isn't measured by
the number of boxes checked
on an evaluation form.

​You’re doing a hard thing.

It’s okay to be exhausted by it. ❤️
