February is Turner Syndrome Awareness Month. 💜🦋
Turner syndrome (TS) is a chromosomal condition affecting approximately 1 in 2,000 girls and women. While presentations vary, individuals with TS may experience a range of medical and developmental considerations including congenital heart differences, short stature, hip dysplasia and other orthopedic concerns, hearing or vision differences, and specific cognitive or executive-function challenges.
For clinicians and families, early identification and ongoing, coordinated care can make a meaningful difference. Access to appropriate durable medical equipment (DME)—from mobility and positioning systems to adaptive seating, gait trainers, safety beds and daily living supports—can promote participation, safety, and independence across home, school, and community environments.
, we are proud to partner with providers, caregivers, and individuals with Turner syndrome to help match the right equipment to the person, not just the diagnosis. Awareness leads to understanding, and understanding helps drive better outcomes.
