Morning tip ☀️ 🍳:
Rise & shine! Did you know breakfast should really be a savory meal? Why?

👉🏼 Because you’re breaking your overnight fast & whatever you eat first thing in the morning gets absorbed into the bloodstream rather quickly.
👉🏼 Keeps you full for a longer time.
👉🏼 Regulates & stabilizes blood sugars

And it’s recommended to start your morning with 30 grams of protein, fiber & healthy fat, all within 30 min to an hour of waking up. This was my breakfast this morning & I’m still short 10 grams of protein…3 eggs recommended. Used the rest of my Spanish riced cauliflower from lunch yesterday as my fiber…so good!!

These last 7 months have been life changing for our family! We have been working on our health in ways we never have before! I have coached for Optavia for nearly 4 years but have always struggled with my weight creeping back up as soon as I reintroduce all the food groups and transition. Deep down I have always felt that I have had issues with my glucose/blood sugars and low and behold, after in depth bloodwork and a great functional health doctor, we have found some root causes! My glucose definitely was all over the place and then I did a toxins test and was positive for mold…who the heck knew?? Becca Kyle started digging into all of this first for our fam and we are so super grateful! Then we went next level ~ did a 3 week cleanse, started wearing glucose monitors and dang…it’s so eye opening to see what you eat, drink, stress over, etc effects your glucose and cortisol levels! So now working more on a keto diet and using some supplements to iron out all of the kinks! It was HARD for us as a family back in September but my gosh we have grown so much in knowledge over these past 7 months and it makes me tear up as I write this!! Knowledge teally is power and ignorance isn’t always bliss either. Super grateful for all of the guidance we have received along the way! It really has been lifechanging and honestly there is no true “quick fix.” Thank you Dr. Heather Stone, DC for all you have done for us so far!! 🙌🏻❤️

I am still coaching woth Optavia but we really did detour as a family but we’re getting back on track and it feels so good!! God is good!!🙏❤️🙏

Eating a healthy diet is so much more than just weight loss and a number on the scale. It’s truly taking care & nourishing your body & brain on a daily basis. Your brain either flourishes or shrinks and one of the root causes is inflammation in the body. Grateful to be learning so much while going through a thyroid masterclass this past week! Boy is it all so eye opening, but the more you know, the quicker you can reverse things for the better!

Something to think about 🍩 🥑

I get a lot of pre-clients tell me they're really good at counting calories. But here's the thing, the type of calories matter!!🧐.

🍩Let's take this donut, for example, which is between 220-230 calories.

🥑Then-Let's take this avocado which is 223 calories.

Both the donut and the avocado are high in fat and have close to the same caloric number...BUT are they really the same?
🍩=🥑🤷‍♀️

The fat in this donut is from refined, toxic vegetable oils,
HOWEVER the avocado has natural monounsaturated and saturated fats which are necessary in a healthy diet and SHOULD NOT be associated with weight gain.

The 🥑 is a natural whole food...the 🍩 is made up of MOSTLY sugar. Even though their calorie numbers are close in range, the nutritional value in the avocado is much greater than the donut.
