Concussions are invisible, which is why early detection is important. A new review published by Premier Journal of Science analyzed athletes who experienced repeat concussions.

Helmets, rule changes, and training programs have helped to reduce risk, but many concussions still go undetected. This poses longterm risk for athletes.

They studied eye movement—one of the most sensitive measures of potential brain injury—comparing eye-tracking at the beginning and end of the season for athletes.
