Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well and taking care of yourself as best as you can. If you need any support please feel free to reach out. I just wanted to say what's up and share this essay on emotional labor and the work of these badass writers. Clementine Morrigan just released a zine called F**k the Police Means We Don't Act Like Cops to Each Other - it's about cancel culture and honestly I can't wait to read it. I also wanted to share that adrienne maree brown just released their book We Will Not Cancel Us and Other Dreams for Transformative Justice through AK Press - also really fu***ng magickal
I think it is so important for us to connect and reach out to each other with care and consent instead of shame around needing support, especially now. When it is offered with love, with reciprocity, it is not draining. I say this as that's how I feel about it. I know this is not true for everyone and that is why it is important to acknowledge that, so we aren't taking care of others when we need to be taking care of ourselves. It is not selfish to take care of yourself first. We don't want you running ragged for liberation. That ain't it. This is for whoever needed to hear it's okay to take a break. Sending you all love, if you want it
Peace

In a call for more rather than less, Clementine Morrigan has three questions to ensure you’re receiving emotional labour ethically.
