I’ve wanted to take a Cold War tour of Europe ever since I took John Gaddis’s class in undergrad. The Cold War seems to have returned since I took it 😏 so I decided to at least make it to Prague, which was such a great idea. Beautiful city, learned a lot about the history, made some new friends, and developed a taste for goulash. The Astrological Clock was…interesting. My favorite local thing is probably the Opera House where Mozart performed and a whole music hall dedicated to Dvorak. I’ll be back Praha, na zdravi! ☺️

Wrapped up a month of delicious food by passing on gastronomique for a spot that could have easily been more Instagrammable than edible. Gotta say, the food was delicious. Even if the fish course was a little underwhelming, the rest were standouts and the dessert is one of the best I’ve had here. It’s been real Paris; the only thing that saved my waistline is the fact that I walked 3-4 miles a day. An unforgettable month in an incredible city ✨

I think 16 year old me, conjugating -er and -re verbs in Mrs. Squaresky’s French 3 class would be pretty proud of 46 year old me, temporarily living in Paris and taking a mid-afternoon sunshine break to sit on the bank of the Seine ☀️. Never be afraid to do the things your younger self could only dream of 💕

Bordeaux Night 2: Dinner at L’Observatoire de Gabriel completely wowed from start to finish.

Two Michelin stars and it absolutely delivered. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the ex*****on; every detail felt intentional and effortless.

We also had the chance to meet chef between courses, which made the whole experience feel even more special. And the jazz standards playing in the background was a personal favorite touch.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. A stellar evening all the way through ✨

Babes in Bordeaux, Night/Day One 🍷

3 Yale women independently touring Europe decide to meet up in Bordeaux for a girls’ weekend! We kicked off our wine region adventure at Restaurant Soléna, chef Victor Ostronzec’s intimate Michelin-starred spot.

Food and wine pairing? Incredible.
Service? Could’ve been tighter.

Rare for me, but the main course stole the show. That lamb dish did not come to play. Both desserts were super inventive, and the foie gras macarons were such a fun, unexpected bite.

Highly recommend, just book early. Dinner turned into a full 4-hour experience.

Today we headed to Saint-Émilion for lunch at L’Envers du Décor, then wine tastings at Château Grangey, Château Tour de Baladoz, and Château Croizille.

Safe to say we are happy, slightly wine-tipsy girls 🍷☺️

After 2.5 years of being a digital nomad - no home base, just movement and vibes - I woke up one morning here in Europe and had a very unexpected thought:

I’m ready to be rooted again.

Not “maybe soon.”
Not “it could be nice.”
Ready.

I know the city.
I have a timeline.
There’s a real move date on the calendar.

What surprised me most?
I’m genuinely excited about staying in one place.

For someone who’s built a life around freedom and mobility… this feels like a plot twist I didn’t see coming.

Turns out choosing one place can feel just as expansive as being everywhere.

To be continued…💕

Today was a work heavy day but I still made time to lay in the grass at Place De Voges for a little midday sunbathing. If worshipping the sun in a famous park in Paris doesn’t fix you, nothing will 💕

-What did you do on your first full day in Paris?
-The stairs.
-Which stairs?
-All of them. Every last stair in Paris 😫 Fortunately, the view from Sacre Couer is absolutely worth it. And I was floored the second I heard voice. Run to his page and check out his music. Since I did 4,000 step ups today, I treated myself to macrons from Pierre Herme and baby, everyone else can pack up their macrons and go home, they are best macrons I’ve had in my life 🤤☺️
