Comforts for a Cause Where it all began: My daughter, Elliana, was gifted a taggie blanket as a newborn. It quickly became her favorite and she couldn't sleep without it!

When Elliana was diagnosed with cancer at age 16 months, her beloved taggie needed frequent washing due When Elliana was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at age 16 months, Elliana's tag blanket brought her much needed comfort during treatment. I (Elliana's mom) wanted to make sure Elliana had extras incase one became dirty. I soon found that sitting at my sewing machine helped me to take my mind off of the stresses that go along with having your child fight cancer. I also found, that others really liked the blankies I made and decided to continue to make them to raise funds for Elliana's ongoing medical needs.

Happy New Year!
Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted! I have been back to teaching 5 years now! Sometimes, in life, the days are long but the years sure FLY BY!
We are doing a new years House and CLOSETS CLEAN OUT and I came across an entire tote of Comforts for a Cause Items. I will post them all in the comments. Most will be free or just a few dollars and if you need them shipped, I will just ask you to cover the shipping. This picture is of Elliana and I. It was exactly ten years ago that we were in the throes of her cancer journey and she was just 14 months old and Comforts for a Cause began. Thank you to all of you who supported us along the way. As you can see, she is a thriving, beautiful young lady!!
