Prayers for peace for the brokenhearted.
Barefoot in the backyard.
Breathwork to ground me.
Gazing up at the spacious, clear sky through the branches of the trees.
Love to all.
The atmosphere in Texas is heavy. Tears sting behind our eyes as we try to carry on with daily responsibilities and nothing feels right. We mourn the many lives that have been lost in the catastrophic flooding in the hill country, including the Camp Mystic girls.
I am grateful for the St. Michael community, as we grieve the unimaginable loss of precious Lanie. Our sidelines will never be the same without her at her brothers’ games. I always loved seeing her sweet smile and fun hair accessories.
As to be expected, there was a different feeling in the air at camp when I picked Franco and Layna up on July 5th. Surrounded by eyes and hearts of compassionate, loving parents, my aching heart felt held in community.
As I drove back to Houston with Franco and Layna sleeping in the backseat, I snapped this photo.
May peace and love ease the suffering.
