Please join us in welcoming Andres Arzube, our new Veterinary Assistant at VCA Aventura Animal Hospital! 🐾

Originally from the beautiful coastal city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, Andres grew up spending his days by the beach and has always had a deep love for animals. 🏖️🐕

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a second major in Applied Natural Sciences from FIU, and fun fact: his dog Panther was named after the university’s mascot and came into his life the same day he graduated! 🎓🐾

Before joining us, Andres worked at an animal shelter where he helped give countless pets a second chance at a happy life. His passion for animal care and helping others truly shines through in everything he does. ❤️
When he’s not caring for pets, you can find him camping, taking road trips with his partner, or relaxing by the ocean. 🌊

We’re so excited to have Andres on the team, be sure to say hi when you see him around the hospital! 👋🐶🐱

On Saturday, we wrapped up Tech Week, but we couldn’t let it end without showing off a few of our amazing veterinary assistants enjoying the special gifts they received! 🎁💙

This year, our veterinary assistants were treated to some extra-personal surprises, custom scrub caps from Etsy featuring their favorite cartoon characters and beautiful custom-engraved jewelry of their pets made by 🩺✨

We love celebrating our veterinary assistants, not just during this one special week, but all year long. Our veterinary assistants are such a strong and essential part of our team, and we truly wouldn’t be where we are without them.

And of course, we wouldn’t be where we are without you, our clients and community, who support our veterinary assistants and allow them to do what they love every single day. 🐾💙 Thank you!

Please join us in congratulating Fernanda, our amazing Veterinary Technician Supervisor, on her 10-year anniversary with us here at VCA Aventura Animal Hospital! 🐾💙

Fernanda isn’t just one of our incredible VCA associates, she’s truly family. The hospital simply wouldn’t be the same without her energy, dedication, and kindness. Over the years, she’s supported so many departments and helped in countless ways, always going above and beyond for our patients, our team, and our clients.

We’re also so grateful for Fernanda’s role as our in-house Brazilian Portuguese translator, helping our Brazilian community feel understood, supported, and cared for. 🇧🇷💛💚

Meet Celina, our newest receptionist!💙

Born and raised in Coral Springs, FL, she’s a UCF Kinesiology grad who’s all about fitness, wellness, and reading in her downtime. 🧘‍♀️🏋️‍♀️📚

A lifelong animal lover, Celina used to foster kittens and volunteer with a rescue in Orlando. Today, her fur family includes Draco, a 6-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai 🐾, Chickpea, a 3-year-old orange tabby 🐱, and Jeter, a 7-year-old Chihuahua mix 🐶.

Today, Leva showed incredible bravery during his very first vaccine visit with us! He was so brave that Dr. Gurjar made sure he left with a special Certificate of Bravery to show off to all his friends and family. 🐾💉✨

Vaccines are an essential part of keeping puppies like Leva healthy and protected as they grow. Regular checkups and preventive care build the foundation for a long, happy life. After full check-ups, including parasite testing and screening negative for FeLV and FIV, they’ve been given a clean bill of health and are ready for their next adventure.

Meet little Cheddar 🧡🐾 Dr. B’s most recent kitten rescue!

Cheddar was found with suspected pneumonia and a few other health complications, but he’s already showing us what a fighter he is. For now, our team is focused on nursing him back to health so he can grow stronger every day.

When the time is right, Cheddar will be looking for his forever home 🏡✨ but until then, we’d love for you to join us in sending him all the healing thoughts and well wishes. 💕

We’re so excited to introduce Houyam as the newest member of our VCA Aventura Animal Hospital family, and our newest CareClub member! 💙

Houyam was a little nervous at first, but quickly showed true courage and a big, brave heart. 🌟 We were so proud of her that we had to award her with an official Certificate of Bravery! 🏅🐾
