Pull. Drop. Look. Repeat. ✨

Tiny scientists testing what happens next 🧪
Lift it up. Let it go. Watch it fall.

Again. And again. And again.

One simple machine and a whole lot of learning happening in real time.

Come play with us 🩷

Not to be dramatic, but walking water is elite toddler science.

Squeeze. Pour. Watch. Wait.
“IT’S MOVING.”

That’s not just cute. That’s work.

🧪 fine motor
✨ visual tracking
⚡ attention + regulation
💖 shared wonder

OT sneaking in wearing a rainbow wig.

Also… someone will make swamp juice

We set out one “mud pie” and the kids said… cool, we’ll take it from here 😂

Suddenly it’s a construction site.
Then a garden.
Then a full storyline where you’ve been assigned “hold this” and absolutely no creative control.

This is child-led play 🧪✨
Layering ideas, building worlds, and pulling us in along the way.

Come see it in real life at Open Lab.

Messy, creative, and fully run by tiny directors.

POV: you came for a cute tunnel… and accidentally signed your toddler up for a full nervous system workout 🌈

Crawling = bilateral coordination + strength
Tunnel vision = focus + body awareness
Popping out the other side = confidence

We call it play.
Your toddler’s brain calls it important research ✨

Flowers drinking a rainbow.

In Bloom Lab we place white flowers into colored water and watch the petals slowly change. It feels a little like magic, but it’s really just plants doing what plants do.

Toddlers are very into checking on them every few minutes.

We’ll be setting this one up at Bright Sparks Open Play Lab on Sunday, April 12 at Sylvan Park in Mountain View.

In partnership with First 5 Santa Clara County.

“Push. Pull. Repeat.”
Toddler life and magnetism in a nutshell. 🧲

This week in the Bright Sparks Lab, our tiny scientists explored invisible forces, discovering that some things attract, others repel, and sometimes… you just need to try again from a new angle.

✨ Magnet mazes in play dough, magnetic sensory bin, and bridges that only stood if you worked together.

💖 Every ‘push and pull’ moment builds curiosity, coordination, and connection through science and social-emotional magic all rolled into lab.
