without friction.

Flow around the edges
of those within your path.
Surround within your ever-moving depths
those who come to rest there.
Enfold them,
while never for a moment holding on.

Accept whatever distance
others are moved within your flow.
Be with them gently
as far as they allow your strength to take them,
and fill with your own being
the remaining space when they are left behind.

When dropping down life’s rapids,
froth and bubble into fragments if you must,
knowing that the one of you now many
will just as many times be one again.

And when you’ve gone as far as you can go,
quietly await your next beginning.

Qigong (pronounced Chee – Gong) is an ancient healing art similar to Tai Chi that has been practiced for thousands of years for health and longevity.
Combining powerful stances with graceful movements, qigong classes can help you develop better balance and cultivate energy and vitality. Studies show that qigong can help reduce anxiety and depression as well as boost your immune system and improve sleep.

In this four class series you will experience all the basics of Qigong and learn a Five Element Qigong Form.

Our Story

The mission of Bo Yoga is to make mindful movement accessible to more people.

It all started when I taught a Qi Gong series with bo staffs (my favorite martial arts instrument) to a group of yoga students. We soon realized that the modern materials that the bo staffs were made of were extremely useful as a new yoga prop.

It could help with alignment, balance, range of motion and most importantly, it made the benefits of yoga and qi gong more accessible to those who couldn’t otherwise receive them.

As I saw the immediate, positive response of my students, I knew we were on to something. Bo Yoga® classes evolved into a fusion of yoga, qi gong and meditation with the Balance Bar (a modified bo staff) as a standard prop in the class.
