February's 75th Anniversary Mystery Prize winners are headed to the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra. 🎻

The best part of being a part of the community for 75 years are the friends and partners we've made along the way, and BSO is no exception!

The Symphony generously donated tickets for us to share with our donors, and these lucky winners got the surprise this month. Our Mystery Prize giveaway happens every month during our 75th anniversary year, and experiences like this are just a glimpse of what donors might win.

🍩 Lace Up for the Bakersfield Donut Run

Get ready to run, walk, and maybe earn that donut.

Join us on March 28, 2026 at Riverwalk Park for the Bakersfield Donut Run, a community event benefiting Houchin Community Blood Bank. Whether you are racing for a personal best or just showing up for the fun, every step supports local patients who rely on lifesaving blood donations.

Participants can scan the QR code on the event flyer to register or make a donation. All funds raised from this event will go directly back into supporting Houchin’s mission right here in Kern County.

This is more than a run. It is neighbors showing up for neighbors. Families, friends, local businesses, and supporters coming together in one place for one purpose.

So grab your running shoes, bring your team, and let’s make March 28 a sweet success for our community. 🍩🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Only volunteer donors can provide blood, platelets and plasma for transfusion to patients in need. Our caring staff will take good care of you, and donation takes about an hour the first time. We are always looking for new donors, and love to see returning donors as well. People live when people give at Houchin Community Blood Bank!
