Finished The 12 Week Year and yeah… this one shifted my mindset. 🤔

This season isn’t just about building strength physically. It's about continuing to build discipline, focus, systems, and mental strength too.

Alright y’all… what’s next on my reading list? Drop it below 👇

My goal is to lift heavy 3x/week. Not because I love it every time… but because I love what it produces.

And on the harder days, when all I can do is show up… that’s strength too.

Whether you’re motivated to go to the gym, or the goal is just getting in the building—you did the hardest part. And that takes strength.

Some days it’s about pushing limits.
Other days it’s just about being there.
Both count!

Not lifting heavy this past month definitely set me back a bit.

But grief, stress, and life have a way of pausing things.
Energy shifts.
Motivation fades.
Everything feels heavier.

If you’re in a season where simply showing up feels hard, give yourself grace.

Strength isn’t just physical.
Sometimes strength is starting again.

So this is for anyone trying to find their way back after a hard season.
Start small.
Start slow.
Just start.

Strength can always be rebuilt.

I started lifting heavy again this week after a tough month, and this weight was much harder to lift than before!😪

But that's what you do if you want to get stronger.
You lift the heavy things.
Even when it’s hard.
Even when it feels like you lost some progress.
Even when your body reminds you that strength has to be rebuilt.

Strength isn’t built overnight. It’s a process—rep by rep, day by day. And before you know it… that heavy weight starts to feel lighter

I’m so grateful for the texts, calls, and messages after my grandma’s passing. The support has meant more than I can say.

As a PT, I talk about movement daily. But this challenging season reminded me of it in a deeply personal way: movement is medicine.

Grief comes in waves. Some days feel steady, others hit hard out of nowhere. And on the days I didn’t want to move, I needed it most. Not to numb the pain or avoid the grief — but to process it.

That movement truly became medicine and has helped carry me through.

If you’re walking through loss right now — or just in a really tough season — be gentle with yourself. But also try to move, even in small ways. A walk. A stretch. A few deep breaths.

Your body and your mind will thank you for it.

It's taken me 3 weeks to post this.

In my mind I know you're no longer here, but it's taken my heart a little longer to catch up.

I had 36 years with you and how kind of God that he allowed me to spend so much time with you near the end.

Learning to navigate this new normal has been challenging but I find peace in knowing that I'll see you again. Your work on this earth is done.

To my girl, my whole world. I miss you ❤️ .

Proof of life 🤍.

It’s been a heavy couple of weeks.
Grateful to still be here. Grateful to keep doing this work.

Getting stronger is still the goal — it just looks different right now.

Strength isn’t always loud. 💪🏾
Sometimes it’s just showing up and taking the next step👣.

Strong things aren’t rushed — they’re built.
Last year was the foundation.
This year is all about building strength.
Not perfection, just progression.

What are you choosing to get stronger in?

01/01/2026

What could’ve broken me rebuilt me.
An Achilles rupture in 2024 turned into the foundation for my strongest year yet.
2025 was about restoration—and it delivered.
Best shape of my life. a

New Year, Same Goal
My health stays a priority. 💪🏾
Time to get out and get moving!

Y’all… today was rough.
Like cry-at-the-drop-of-a-dime rough. 😮‍💨

All I could think was: get me to the gym before I spiral.

Why? Because movement is medicine.
Exercise releases endorphins that help boost mood and reduce stress—something my nervous system desperately needed today.

So if you’re in a season where you’re just trying to show up and not let your emotions take over, I 100% recommend moving your body.

Because when I'm done, the problems are still there…
but my mindset is better, clearer, and stronger to tackle them.
