True to You My Primary focus is to teach the tools to help effectively manage our mental and emotional health. What makes me different? All of the things that make me great!

When something drastic happens in our lives, we are often bombarded with an overwhelming amount of emotions. Emotions we may not be able to identify, making working through them more difficult than you remember it being. As your mental health coach, we will work together to sift through your emotions and manage them. Transparency, my sense of humor, honesty, understanding, compassion... I am currently on my own journey to becoming my best self, and am learning new things about me everyday! This process will not be an easy one. We all have traumas we would rather tuck away than deal with. If you are afraid of your feelings or your tears, I am not the best fit for you. If you are easily offended, I am not the best fit for you. If you are not ready to hold yourself accountable, I am not the best fit for you. I learned that I could not heal until I acknowledged that I was hurt. I do recommend that we all engage in psychotherapy for the best results, as I am not a licensed clinician. If you do not have one but wish to connect with a therapist, I would be more than willing to assist in finding a provider for you.

I have had a burning thought to share...

Men's Mental Health Month being the same month as Pride is pretty cool if you ask me..
Why come? Sooooo many men carry shame in who they truly are. The weird, awkward, soft, sensitive, emotional parts of themselves. How difficult it must be to be a kid and have these feelings never leave, even after everyone has told you what you're not supposed to do.. What you're not supposed to feel. You're supposed to be tough... How you're supposed to be as a man. Is something wrong? You feel all of these feelings that the world has told you not to feel... What do I do? Then you start really liking girls, so you pay attention to what she likes about the boys who make her laugh... I believe in that moment, a difficult decision is made.. How do I get her to like me? Do I have to get rid of my Pokemon cards? Some boys were totally okay with their Pokemon cards and no girl could come between them.. Then there were some who gave it all up to be who they thought the girls and the world wanted them to be. Never truly embracing all of the parts of themselves they have tried to bury. As an adult, they are itching to get out and you are fighting like hell to keep them buried.. Dig them up. Give yourself permission to take your mask off and be all of you... Proudly.

You are enough.. Just as you are. ❤🫶🏿
