We are proud to share that Keswick’s Community Health Team has been recognized with the LeadingAge Maryland Excellence in Innovation Award.

This award honors organizations that go beyond traditional operations to advance aging services through creativity, collaboration, and community-centered thinking. FFor Keswick, that innovation shows up in how we build bridges into neighborhoods, meet people where they are, and support older adults and caregivers across Baltimore through:

• Service Navigation & Care Coordination
• Housing Upgrades to Benefit Seniors (HUBS)
• Wise & Well Center for Healthy Living
• Cognitive & Caregiver Resource Center

Thank you to LeadingAge Maryland for this recognition, and to our Community Health team for continuing our mission of improving the experience of aging, together.

We’re proud to partner with the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing on an NIH-approved research study focused on understanding the unmet needs that can lead to avoidable nursing home placements.

Through this collaboration, older adults, including those experiencing changes in thinking or memory, are invited to share their experiences to help shape more responsive, person-centered supports that allow people to remain safely in their homes and communities whenever possible.

Together, we’re advancing research, listening to lived experience, and working toward better outcomes for older adults and caregivers.

All is well at Keswick! Big thanks to the amazing team members across departments. Grateful for the team members who came in early and stayed over night this weekend.

Many thanks to all Keswick team members, for storm preparations and for all they do every day that leads to this demonstration of commitment and teamwork at Keswick.

In one of the pics from earlier this morning, you can see that Keswick - again - gets the best sidewalk clearance award 🙂 Kudos to the maintenance team on this ongoing effort out front and across campus. To them, and to those of you outside in your neighborhoods - a big reminder to take breaks and hydrate!

"Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away and the deep fog of misunderstanding will be lifted from our fear drenched communities, and in some not too distant tomorrow the radiant stars of love and brotherhood will shine over our great nation with all their scintillating beauty."
~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This MLK Day, we thank our team members who will be working on the holiday, living our core values right here at Keswick.

At Keswick, we are bridging generations. Mentoring goes both ways. Through programs like , students and older adults exchange stories, perspectives, and life lessons that change how they see aging, and themselves. Partnership likes these serve as a reminder that aging is a universal experience, one not to be feared but to be understood, respected and embraced, at all ages.

How has a relationship with someone from a different generation shaped the way you think about aging? We’d love to hear your story in the comments.

Winter can feel long, but small steps add up. This month, we’re inviting Wise & Well members to choose one simple habit like a daily walk, stretching break, or extra glass of water to support their health.
