You Don’t Have to Keep Working Like a Generator.

You are not a machine.
You are not a power source for everyone else.
You are not called to run until you burn out.

And yet…

You keep producing.
You keep solving.
You keep showing up.
Even when you are exhausted.

I just completed another round of “It’s Time to Talk About It.”

And here’s what I witnessed:

Women who were surviving on 4–5 hours of sleep began resting again.
Women who felt spiritually distant began praying with intimacy again.
Women who carried invisible emotional weight finally put it down.

They didn’t quit their responsibilities.

They learned how to stop carrying them alone.

They experienced real mental relief — not hype, not surface motivation — but grounded, faith-centered strategies to manage burnout and overwhelm.

They:
• Established boundaries without guilt
• Released emotional pressure they had normalized
• Identified where they were overfunctioning
• Re-centered their relationship with God
• Stopped performing while numb

God never intended for you to be productive and depleted.

Now I am opening 3 spots only for:

It’s Time to Talk About It: Work–Life Management Edition will begin on 3/2/26

This is a 7-week group experience for the accomplished woman who:

✔️ Appears strong on the outside
✔️ Is silently overwhelmed by work and family life
✔️ Feels responsible for everyone
✔️ Is tired of pretending she’s okay
✔️ Is ready for mental relief and real peace

This is not for the woman who wants quick tips.

This is for the woman who is ready to:
• Establish sustainable boundaries
• Release emotional weight
• Overcome mommy guilt
• Reconnect deeply with God
• Create work–life alignment that honors her soul
• Live in peace without shrinking her ambition

Only 3 women.

If you feel that nudge reading this… that’s not random.

Don’t overthink it.

One thing I knew last January was that some feelings and emotions might resurface—similar to what many of us experienced during the pandemic.

Because of that awareness, I made an intentional decision to put a **soul care plan** in place.

This is part of how I wind down after a long day.

I’ve learned the importance of **staying away from unnecessary trauma**—being mindful of what I watch, what I listen to, and even the energy of the people I’m around. Protecting your peace isn’t avoidance; it’s wisdom. It’s safeguarding your **mind and your heart**.

Tonight, that looks like choosing something gentle, familiar, and grounding. I really enjoy this show—it allows my nervous system to settle and my soul to exhale.

Soul care isn’t always grand gestures.
Sometimes it’s simply choosing *what you will not consume*.

What helps you wind down and protect your peace at the end of the day?

✨ I didn’t just follow the caricature trend… I used it to give shape to a dream. ✨

For about five years, I’ve been holding a vision close to my heart.

A dream where I walk out of the elevator into a space that feels safe.
A space where women are no longer performing strength.
A space where healing conversations are welcomed, not rushed.

When the caricature trend started circulating, I paused.
And then I realized—I could use creativity as a form of actualization.

What you see here isn’t just an illustration.
It’s a visual declaration of the Honoring the Whole You Wellness Center—
a dream that has lived in prayer, planning, journaling, and waiting.

If you’ve been holding a vision quietly—this is your reminder:
✨ It’s okay to make it visible.
✨ It’s okay to honor the waiting.
✨ It’s okay to believe it’s closer than you think.

Spiritual rest is real—and it’s necessary.

When your soul feels off, dry, or distant from God, it may be time to lean into spiritual rest.

Here’s what that can look like—even once a week:

• Fasting – Quieting the flesh to sharpen spiritual awareness
• Consecration – Setting yourself apart for God
• Prayer – Honest conversation that restores connection
• Spiritual music or sermons – Resetting your atmosphere
• Journaling – Reflecting, releasing, and listening

Spiritual alignment doesn’t happen by accident—it’s cultivated with intention.

The other day I posted about the 7 types of rest needed in today's society. Many of us don’t realize how much sensory
(social media, news, gaming, YouTube, etc.) overload they’re carrying—until they pause.

One powerful (and often uncomfortable) form of rest is sensory, such as resting from social media.

When we’re constantly exposed to curated lives, breaking news, and endless notifications, our nervous systems stay on high alert. Over time, this can show up as:
• Increased anxiety or low mood
• Heightened stress and irritability
• Poor sleep and mental fatigue
• Comparison that quietly erodes self-esteem

Stepping away—even briefly—can lead to:
✔️ Better sleep and focus
✔️ Reduced cortisol (stress hormone)
✔️ Less comparison and more self-trust
✔️ Deeper, more meaningful real-world connections

You don’t have to quit social media forever.
You simply need healthy boundaries.

Try one small step:
• No phone during meals or before bed
• A short 3–7 day break
• Temporarily deleting apps to reduce impulse scrolling

Resting from social media creates space to hear yourself again.

💬 I’d love to know—what do you notice about your mood or stress level when you unplug, even briefly?

Happy New Year!
During the break, I made a very intentional decision: to rest on purpose.
Not collapse-from-exhaustion rest.
Not “I’ll rest when everything is done” rest.
But soul-centered, intentional rest.
Because I’ve learned something the hard way:
Many accomplished women aren’t overwhelmed because they’re doing too much—they’re overwhelmed because they’re resting in the wrong ways or not resting at all.
There are different types of rest, and, I have learned, when even one is missing, overwhelm shows up quietly.
✨ Physical rest – slowing down, getting enough sleep, allowing your body to pause
✨ Mental rest—giving your mind a break from constant problem-solving and overthinking
✨ Emotional rest—having safe spaces to be honest instead of always being “the strong one”
✨ Social rest – choosing nourishing relationships over draining obligations
✨ Sensory rest – stepping back from noise, screens, and constant stimulation
✨ Spiritual rest – reconnecting with God and safeguarding what you allow into and around your spirit
✨ Creative rest – engaging in life-giving activities that restore joy
Many women I work with are physically resting—but still feel exhausted.
That’s often a sign of burnout, not weakness.
If you’re an accomplished woman who feels:
• emotionally drained
• mentally overwhelmed
• disconnected from peace
• tired even when things are “going well”

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas filled with peace, warmth, and moments of rest for your soul. May this season remind you that you are worthy of care, grace, and joy—just as you are.

As we welcome the New Year, our prayer is that 2026 brings renewed hope, emotional healing, deeper alignment with God, and the courage to honor the whole you—mind, body, and soul.

Thank you for being part of the Honoring the Whole You community.
We look forward to continuing this journey of soul care, restoration, and wholeness with you in the year ahead.

With gratitude and love,

Last week I had the opportunity to share space with some amazing accomplished women.

Together, we unpacked why so many high-achieving, spiritually grounded women continue performing even when their soul is exhausted.

Many women shared:
“I want to look in control.”
“I want to be helpful.”
“It’s expected of me.”
“I feel guilty.”
“I worry about what people think.”

And when we explored deeply, we realized many of us learned this from:

 upbringing
 culture
 generational patterns
 trauma
 and survival

But why do we continue to perform when we are exhausted and overwhelmed?  There is an impact on the body, mind, and spirit when we perform while numb.

Stay tuned for part 2
