there is a solar eclipse in August, in leo. and this is an informative post for people who work with nature
Merry Tuesday, my dears.
It is the 3rd of March, 2026. The Full Worm Moon. A total lunar eclipse. A Blood Moon. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 the 3:3 portal... all colliding on the same morning. The eclipse peaked at 6:33 A.M. (ET) this morning, the moon bled that deep, coppery red, and the sky put on a show that hasn't been seen (and won't be seen again) for nearly three years.
The energy is still very much 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. It doesn't just switch off the second totality ends. Eclipse energy lingers. It seeps. It works on you whether you invited it to or not.
And I've been flooded (truly, 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘥) with messages asking what ritual to do, what spell to cast, how to "tap into" this energy.
So...
Well, I'm going to tell you what I actually think.
When you've been practicing for nearly 20 years, and you put yourself out there publicly, you have a responsibility to be honest, not just popular. And... honestly? I've watched the social media posts rolling in since yesterday and my dears, a lot of them are treating this like a cute cosmic event to slap a candle and a crystal on.
So let me be very clear, in big letters, because some people need to hear it:
𝗘𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗦𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗬 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦.

Did I do a ritual this morning?
Yes. I acknowledged the moon. I left my offerings. I didn't need to construct an elaborate ceremony just because something important was happening in the sky... I could have, because I know my craft and I know my energy. But... whatever. I had my reasons.
Did I collect eclipse water?
I did, actually. Not because it was trending Lol. I did it because of the very specific layering of today... the 3:3 portal stacked on a total lunar eclipse stacked on the Worm Moon, with the moon in Virgo opposing the sun in Pisces. The number 33 is a master number. The Master Teacher. Compassion, healing, and 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Virgo's grounded, clarifying, healing earth energy meeting Pisces' deep intuitive waters. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 specific alchemy... that's why the water called to me. For a deliberate, specific purpose rooted in my practice.
Not because a post told me it was good vibes.
And yet.
𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗬𝗘𝗧...
There's always a lot of posts treating the biggest, most disruptive celestial events of the year like an open buffet that anyone can walk up to and serve themselves from. Hey, there's something powerful in the sky... let's 𝘁𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘁!
No. My dears. No.
So before the naysayers come flooding my inbox so fast they try to swallow me whole and fully dressed... let me educate.

𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆.
This is where I need you to really hear me.
A full moon builds, illuminates, and charges. It's expansive. It's generous. It's the energy that says: 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯, 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘦.
An eclipse? An eclipse 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝘀. It cuts threads. It forces endings. It drags hidden truths to the surface whether you asked for them or not, and it closes cycles that were never meant to continue. This is shadow work energy. Divination energy. Letting-go energy. It is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 manifesting energy. Repeat: It is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 manifesting energy. It is not the time to charge your tools and set your intentions and light your candle and expect the universe to deliver.
So, if you don't understand the difference between energy that 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 and energy that 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘴, if you haven't spent real time working with regular lunar cycles in your body and your practice... I'm sorry but you cannot navigate an eclipse responsibly. You will work against yourself without even knowing it.
And then, very sensitive people will feel more intense energy during an eclipse, which can be interpreted as chaotic energy if you're ungrounded... And then, spells cast without a stable energetic foundation might not fail, but might go sideways in ways you didn't ask for.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱
Historically, eclipses were not treated as cosmic gifts to be seized. They were treated as 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 events. The Mesopotamians, some of the most sophisticated planetary magicians who ever lived, saw eclipses as moments when the divine order turned on its head. These were not people who casually decided to "tap in." These were people whose entire vocation was celestial magic, and 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 still approached eclipse energy with preparation, caution, deep reverence.
So... what exactly is making the modern witch with three weeks of practice think they can just walk in?
Ah. Right. The aesthetic posts.
𝗟𝗼𝗹.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻
This is the last total lunar eclipse for nearly three years. The next won't happen until late 2028. Rarity amplifies energetic weight. That's not something you stumble into because a post made it look easy and fun.
The stakes of getting it wrong, or getting it right, are proportional to the power of the event. And this event? Is 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹.

𝗦𝗼 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗼?
𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲. Journal. Sit quietly with what comes up.
Notice what the eclipse is 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 to you rather than trying to direct it. Because that's what this energy is for... revelation, not construction.
You can still honor this moon. Light a candle. Write down what you're ready to release. The Worm Moon is a threshold moon, it marks the end of winter, the first stirrings of thaw, the worms and beetle larvae emerging from frozen earth. That's ancient medicine. That's worth sitting with quietly, even (especially) without a complex ritual on top of it.
You don't need to 𝗱𝗼 a big spell to participate in this energy. Sometimes the most powerful thing a developing practitioner can do is 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

𝗠𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁
I know, I know. Some of you are already typing. Some of you will tell me that plenty of experienced practitioners work eclipse energy fully and with beautiful results. And you're right... they do. Because they've built the foundation. They have years of practice under them, established relationships with their craft, their deities, their own energy field. That context doesn't just help... It's 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴!
The point isn't fear. The point is 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁.
You don't hand a beginner driver the keys to a race car on a wet track just because the race car is impressive. The eclipse is impressive. It is potent. It is real. And it deserves to be approached accordingly... with knowledge, preparation, and the humility to know where you are in your practice.
𝗘𝗻𝗱. 𝗢𝗳. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘁.
🖤
With zero patience for eclipse energy being handed out like party favors,
Blessed day, witches.
