📢 Closing Tomorrow (1/30) AT NOON!

At Apotheosis Health, we believe that healthcare is a hollow mission if it doesn’t include the fight for justice. We cannot ignore the systemic issues that impact the lives of our neighbors and friends. Our hearts are heavy, and we feel it is more important to stand with our community than to ignore the reality of our world for the sake of a normal workday. Nothing that is currently happening is normal and even though this feels uncomfortable to do, one thing we have learned since opening is growth happens at the edge of your comfort zone.

Tomorrow, we stand in observance of the National Day of Solidarity.

To make change, we have to stop the gears of the status quo.
• No Work.
• No School.
• No Shopping.

We are choosing to step away from "business as usual" to demand a better future.

We spoke to the Bangor Daily News about how the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model is helping to ease the access crisis in Bangor. Here is the evidence for why DPC works:

Zero Wait Times: We offer same-day or next-day access for acute issues. New patients can typically be seen within a week.

Better Health: Studies show DPC patients have 54% fewer ER visits because they can reach their provider before it becomes an emergency.

Face Time: Average DPC visits are 30-60 minutes vs. the national average of 12-15 minutes.

Maine's Affordable Care Act enrollment for 2026 sees a drop as higher premiums make coverage unaffordable for many, leaving them uninsured.

We know the letters going out about 2026 insurance premiums are stressful right now. 😟

Between tax credits expiring and rates shifting, a lot of people are looking at their monthly costs and feeling like they have to choose between going broke or going without coverage.

Starting January 1, 2026, you can officially use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your Apotheosis Health membership.

The new federal rules allow HSA funds to cover DPC fees up to $150/month for individuals and $300/month for families. Since our memberships are just $90 and $220, your entire monthly fee fits easily under the cap!

If you are looking at High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) to keep those monthly insurance costs down, this new rule makes them a much better partner for DPC. You can save on the insurance premium, and use your HSA to pay for the actual care, access, and time you get with us!
