It's been a busy week for body ache bombs (sweet mint and daiquiri also shown) and I'm happy to say that with temperatures picking up and staying warm that I've switched to my summer blend so your bombs don't prematurely fizz out on you. 😊

I had someone ask me about how bathing in essential oils can benefit you or how it gets into your body to help you in the first place. The answers come in multiple levels but to keep the answers simple, essential oils have the ability to pe*****te the blood-brain barrier and provide therapeutic benefits. They are able to do this because they contain natural constituents. Even for oils that cannot cross the blood-brain barrier, they can still affect the brain through your olfactory bulb. Essential oils separate from your bath water and your skin draws the oils in from the top of the water where the oils rest. Recommended amount of oils for bathing is 3-6 drops per bath. My bath bombs contain this exact variation and have dilutions (such as Cocoa butter or coconut oil) added to prevent sensitivity. I love answering these questions and encourage anyone who has any to inquire!

Why I Do What I

My first bath bomb experience is not what you would call relaxing or fun. I bought my first bath bomb from Walmart and it was labeled ‘Relaxing Lavender’. Thinking that was just what I needed I bought it and took it home ($6, not bad i thought), excited to try the thing everyone goes on about. As soon as I dropped it into my warm bath I regretted it. Glitter exploded from the bomb and covered my tub in what HAD to be record time (unfortunately it took two weeks for my bathroom to not be full of glitter). I fished the wrapper from my trash to see where it said glitter and was pretty mad when there was no mention of glitter on the package anywhere. But there was a list of unsettling materials that could NOT be good for my body. Thinking that I could do a better job than the stores, I started playing with recipes and tailoring them to what I wanted. My amazing aunt is practically an essential oil guru and turned me into doTERRA years ago so using quality therapeutic grade oils was an easy choice. I didn't start selling bath bombs until my friends pushed me, volunteering also to be test subjects for all future things I could make. Through a year of in person private sales and a lot of encouragement I've finally stepped onto the internet with my products. I hope you all love these bath bombs and other products as much as I do!
