What is nature and forest therapy?

“Forest Therapy is a practice that promotes healing and wellness through immersing oneself in the calming and restorative atmosphere of forests and other natural environments. The practice originated from the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-Yoku or "forest bathing" and has been backed by research to provide an array of health benefits. By reminding us that we are interconnected with nature and all living beings, Forest Therapy goes beyond physical benefits and stabilizes our mood and cognition.”
-The Association of Nature & Forest Therapy

Why work with a Nature & Forest Therapy guide?

A Nature & Forest Therapy guide helps to facilitate an experience you might not otherwise have. This is done by offering invitations which encourage you to slow down, engage your senses, and encourage experiences of yourself and the environment in new and meaningful ways. A Nature & Forest Therapy guide also helps to encourage fostering a sense of partnership with the land itself and community among participants.
