Time to make sure you are setting boundaries with your kiddos
💥 No buying time
💥 Switch out fall/summer clothes (dont keep too much ever, even for the kids who get muddy... they o ly need so much !
💥 If your kids are driving you nuts with all their stuff, enlist family to NOT buy more STUFF for them. Think experience gifts this holiday season

Decluttering doesn't have to be pretty...Just needs to be DONE !

PLAY TIP:
Play Smorgasboard

Set out some play items on a rug in a special way and welcome your child to the "Play Smorgasboard" and tell them they are fully in charge of what they play with and what you play with too.

Hey it's me ! Hi ! Howdy! Hola! Ciao!

I am still here, in the real world that is, but have been MIA on the socials.

💥SURPRISE ... I found out in October that I was expecting baby boy #5 AND after shock lessened, we are loving this little human growing inside me. When I say SURPRISE, it really really really was. But even with this being a very unexpected addition, we have already allowed space in our hearts to love him.💥

I got the opportunity to share my story and reignite my passion for my work as a family and postpartum doula today when I recorded with Skye Nicholson and Beth Hughes for their Podcast: Breaking Patterns. Give them a listen and like and subscribe AND check out the recording this Thursday 🙂

Supporting your littles during the holidays looks like this ❤️

THIS is an empowered child!

It's that time of year again.

Santa is coming to town.

If you partake in this tradition, does your child want to sit on Santa's lap?

- Is your child already lined up and excited?
- Is your child ambivalent?
- Is your child saying No?

Now is the time to have a conversation with your child about how they may want or not want to engage with Santa.

- Here's your opportunity to practice consent.
- Here's your moment to do what's in your child's best interest rather than being determined to snap that holiday photo of your child hugging Santa.

Remember, Santa is a stranger to your child - a person in a costume they have never met. Parents spend so much time teaching their children not to talk to strangers and then sometimes ironically encourage, manipulate and force their child to sit on Santa's lap.

You can do this differently.

If your child wants to sit on Santa's lap, be there with your child and engage in the tradition you love.

If your child does not want to hold or shake hands, sit in Santa's lap or touch Santa in any way, honor their choice.

This is the perfect opportunity to practice consent!

Holiday Hack #3 : gift an experience (budget friendly, family friendly and declutter friendly)

Holiday Hack #2 : For many Americans, November and December are big shopping and gifting months.
Now is the time to declutter ➡️ Bonus, this is a great life lesson for kiddos too.

1️⃣ Set out 3 boxes : "Keep", "May be", "Donate"
2️⃣ Set aside 15-30 min a week for this.
3️⃣ Questions to ask yourself or kids: "when have I used this, when do I plan to use this?" "Is this trash or can someone else benefit from this item?" "Why am I holding on to this ?" "Do I need help?"
4️⃣ And if this all feels like too much - give me a ☎️ or send me a message, link in comments .

Most people think "after-the-fact" when it comes to holiday storage and streamlining transitions.

Holiday hack #1 - buy color coded storage bins for each holiday or season you have decorations for (same can be done for each kid too). And do it before the season starts (or end if you are a bargain hunter and have the time).
