Hand 'n Hand Women's Center is a Christian pro-life ministry located in Barnhart, Missouri. The ministry serves women and families that may be facing an unplanned pregnancy. While one of our primary objectives is to provide help to women who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy, our ultimate objective is to provide them with the love, hope, and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do this in a variety of ways, not the least of which is to provide material help to clients, before and after the birth of their babies. Studies have shown that 80% of women who have had an abortion say they would have completed the pregnancy if they felt they had love and support from someone. It is Hand 'n Hand's belief that one of the most effective ways to stop the tragedy of abortion is to provide women facing an unplanned pregnancy with the kind of love and support that was modeled by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our volunteers all serve out of the desire to follow God's direction for their lives. While this ministry started with members of one local church, today Hand 'n Hand is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit ministry with those making up the volunteer force coming from a variety of local churches and many different denominations. This ministry is truly breaking down denominational walls and is simply a ministry of Jesus Christ. Hand 'n Hand offers our clients free pregnancy tests with confirmation ultrasounds, referrals to pro-life doctors, adoption agencies, maternity homes and avenues for financial and legal aid to those in need. It also has a fully stocked material needs inventory which includes maternity clothing, infant and children clothing and a variety of baby accessories that are provided to clients in need. In order to provide this type of help, Hand 'n Hand relies on material and monetary donations from local churches, organizations and individuals. Since everyone involved volunteers their time and services, all donations received go directly to operate the Center and provide assistance to women and families in need. All contributions of new and used material items, and monetary donations are tax deductible. The center is located at 7024 Highway 61-67, in Barnhart, just a short distance from Highway 55 and Highway M. The operating hours are 2 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
