New Year view

A full day of Christmas festivities... First my daughter was recognized for her internship/scholarship at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, where she also had a solo representing Mary in the "audience participation Christmas Pagent." Then we were off to our annual family Christmas party, a tradition which was started many years ago by my grandmother and her 19 siblings! This is one of our most favorite traditions and Santa visits every year!

Important enough to be a post! Cacao and chocolate have so many health benefits when it comes from nature without pesticides and excessive processing, without nasty ingredients and without exploiting the people who grow it. If you love chocolate, pay for the good stuff. Don't buy the over-the-counter crap. It'll taste so much better, you'll be doing good for people and the planet as well as your own health. Our pupper Hazel Basil had to have 9 teeth, a mass and some bone removed from her mouth 😥 so I made her homemade food of chicken🍗, rice🍚, pumpkin 🎃, peas🫛 and carrots🥕 BUT she hates taking medicine so much that I had a trick her into eating it with a spoon and a people plate! And still she decided to pick out the carrots and peas and place them on the side! 😆🤣

A homage to the many ceramic Christmas trees from my grandma, Nancy Scurto. I don't put up a lot of Christmas decorations but these are by far my favorites! I believe that the first 2 were hand made by her when she took ceramic classes and I truly cherish them. 🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️

This year Matt did something special for me when setting up the Christmas decorations. This was my grandparents little 3 foot Christmas tree that they used as they got older and it was too hard to put up the full sized tree. For a few years, my kids would decorate it and keep it in one of their rooms. This year, Matt placed it in the foyer and put red, green and white lights on it to make it an "Italian Christmas tree" welcoming us home everyday. 🎄🇮🇹♥️💚

CAN WE PLEASE STOP PUMPING FRAGRANCE INTO EVERY POSSIBLE PUBLIC VENUE!
Not only is it extremely toxic, endocrine disrupting and cancer causing but for those of us with severe allergies it can be the difference between life and death.
Nearly every hotel I go into I have to have a special allergy free room and I can't be in the lobby without needing extra allergy medicine the more than a few minutes.
I've had to take an EpiPen and prednisone after being in an Uber or being exposed to sheets washed in scented detergent.
And I have so many patients who react similarly with difficulty breathing and rashes.
These artificial fragrances are extremely harmful to humans and there is no need for them!
Now you can't even go to the movies or the train station without possibly having your throat close. It's ridiculous!
Not too mention that the infertility rates and cancer rates among young people are through the roof!
MAKE IT STOP!
STOP NORMALIZING FRAGRANCE!
