TBR1 Awareness Day 🧬💙🩶

TBR1 Warrior Here! TBR1 is a rare genetic syndrome that has affected a little over 200 people worldwide! Through our journey we have found community and support with our TBr1 Family and celebrate with them today!

I share similarities with others in our TBR1 community, but am specific with my own variant. My page Uniquely Serenity has been dedicated to show my journey and what is to come! Things that I have overcame that professionals doubted me!

Through dedication, determination, my happiness, sweetness and fulfilling the meaning of my name we have found peace going through this journey even when it’s challenging.

Today we did a neighborhood walk then celebrated with my favorite Oreo McFlurry! You can see my happiness getting out the car & I see my ice cream in mums hand!

First Day of Kindergarten! Serenity was pumped and ready to explore. She heard the word “school” and nothing but giggles & smiles. When we got to her new school she browsed with curiosity at the new transition. Overall her sweet and happy self will adjust as this new journey begins.

Appointment Day…Kindergarten Physical, Shots, Dental Authorization, & Safety Bed Referral Process. Doctor visits are needed for everyone, when it comes to special needs, appointments are more tedious especially when big transitions are coming. My unique girl does great with doctor visits & we do our best to get her needs met.

Routine EEG today to confirm controlled of seizures and epileptic spasms! Prayers that all is well and we will get good news that Serenity can come off one of her seizure medications.
