At New Hope Refuge, we believe this journey is so much more than sobriety (thats just the tip of the iceburg) — it’s about helping women become productive, confident, contributing citizens again through the redemption of Jesus Christ and learning to walk this life out daily.
That means walking with them through the real-life consequences of past decisions. For many of our women, something as basic as a driver’s license has been lost for years — sometimes decades — creating obstacles to work, family, and independence. We don’t shy away from that hard work. We help navigate paperwork, court requirements, accountability, and patience… even when the process feels overwhelming.
Today, we’re celebrating a huge victory. After 20+ years without a license, and after serving faithfully on staff at New Hope for the past 2 years, God made a way for Shannon’s driver’s license to be reinstated. 🙌
This didn’t happen overnight. It was actually denied just a few months ago and she didn't give up easily! It took perseverance, obedience, humility, and faith — and a God who specializes in redemption and second chances.
Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Restoration is real. Growth is possible. And no consequence is too big for God to redeem. We are celebrating with you Shannon and praising God for moving this mountain 🙌🙌🙌
