In EFT we call it T-E-M-P-O.

IF you know your TEMPO and that of your sweetheart then you are on the road to change. Not at the finish line of relationship harmony but on the road vs the wilderness of repeated conflict.

T=Trigger (what I get from my sweetheart that sets me off)
E=surface emotions that are the first thing I can feel (in regard to the trigger, so irritation, frustration)
M=Meaning Making (what do I tell myself the trigger means both about me and about them?)
P=Protective Action (By this point, I've felt pain and I'm moving to protect. We all protect by moving towad the Trigger or Away or a combination of go toward and then away)
O=Organize it (connect the dots of the previous 4 TEMP)
