This time of year, many of us are spending more time in front of screens. Whether itโs last-minute gift shopping, planning a holiday getaway, or just trying to get a few minutes of peace while the kids are out of schoolโฆitโs easy to rely on devices a little more than usual.

๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฌ: Extended time on screens can increase visual strain, disrupt sleep cycles (especially with evening scrolling), and keep the brain stuck in a low-grade stress response - especially when weโre juggling holiday logistics or comparing ourselves to everyone elseโs highlight reels.
๐ง๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ธ๐ถ๐ฑ๐: With colder weather, fewer activities, and less structure, screen time often becomes the default. And while a little downtime is totally fine, too much can overstimulate their sensory systems, affect emotional regulation, and throw off sleep and digestion patterns.
Gentle movement, fresh air, and regular breaks can help recalibrate the body. Chiropractic care supports the nervous systemโs ability to process stimulation, adapt to stress, and restore balance - so that screen time doesnโt leave everyone feeling wired or worn out.
If screen time is becoming a little more frequent this season (and letโs be honest - it probably is), we would love to help give your nervous system the support it needs to keep up with it all!
