I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and am in good standing with both the National Association of Social Work (NASW) and the Louisiana Board of Social Work Examiners (LABSWE). I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Louisiana State University in 2010 and my Master's degree of Social Work from Louisiana State University School of Social Work in 2012. I am a member of the American Association of S*xality Educators, Counselors and Therapists and am currently taking classes to become a certified s*x therapist from Modern S*x Therapy Institute. I work with individuals, couples, and families using different forms of therapy and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Imago Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Positive Psychology. I offer a therapeutic environment for families to discuss parenting, family systems, thoughts and stressors without being judged. Techniques to improve communication, maintain healthy boundaries, promote problem solving, redirect conflict and build empathy are used and discussed. I encourage individuals to use appropriate and effective coping and communication skills to empower you to live your most authentic life through establishing and maintaining healthy relationships, focusing on strengths, and promoting the decision making process for behavioral change.
