(In this scenario you will need to Play “someone like you” from Van Morrison) So, as you drive up into the driveway tonight... have flowers in your hand... open the door, smile as she looks at you, hug your child as they say “hey daddy” but don’t break eye contact, with your wife except in the moment to hear about your child’s day, then gently tell them, “I have to talk to mama.” Walk across the room and tell your bride “these are for you.” When she asks you “what’s the occasion” tell her, no occasion, just in love.... ask Alexa to play van Morrison’s “just like you” when your spouse asks you “what are you doing,” tell her, “I am dancing with my wife.” ... hold her close and don’t let go, and at the end of the song kiss her with your eyes open and tell her you love her. Run a bath for her and tell her you will straighten up the kitchen, wink and tell her you will meet her in the room after you tuck the kids in... oh, and don’t forget to scratch the dog behind the ear... because well, you are the spiritual leader in the home and if everything is good in the home... you get the credit... and if everything is not good, well we still get the credit.... so step up and be the man, and love your wife and take care of her with passion.

Goodnight America.... (as you read this play Sara Barrellies; “I choose you”). In order to save a marriage... tell the world “you finally got all right”. (Your friends and family) Walk into the house, take the baby from your wife’s arms... look her directly in the eyes... smile and wink.... say, “I’ve got this.” Start the bath, not for the baby, but for her, and tell her to get in there... you are gonna bathe the baby in the kitchen sink... (still in your suit)... take off your jacket and roll up your sleeves.... get after it... grab the Chardonnay pour her a glass and go by and give it to her while she is in the tub... tell her that she is the best thing since sliced bread... as you go by. Bathe the baby and put him or her to bed singing “edelweiss” from the sound of music.... then grab your glass and go into the bathroom and sit and listen to your spouses day. At the end of the day if necessary ask her how you can help... when she looks at you and winks and says, “I got this.” Smile back and say, “I know you do.” Get her towel... go get in your pajamas and scratch the dog behind the ear.... because, well that is what you do... love unconditionally.

(read this as you listen to “secret garden” by Bruce Springsteen).
You pull into the driveway... as you walk up to the door, you prepare yourself to go the extra mile.. why? Because she needs you to. As you step through the door and set your briefcase down, you scratch the dog behind the ear and you look across the room to catch her glance... she is looking expectantly... you smile a wry smile... and wink... she smiles gleefully... you say purposefully, “how do you stay so radiant after taking care of our children all day? She giggles a bit and glances down, only to look up to catch you still looking at her purposefully... you say: “You know I think you are the most beautiful woman in the world... and you walk toward her and brush the hair from her face and and pull her toward you... your kiss is strong, soft, and passionate... It is a kiss that shows you are in love... and she knows you would die for her... you pick her up and carry her to the bedroom, lay her down on the bed and go to the kitchen to prepare some grapes, crackers and salami for the both of you, and listen to her tell you about her day.... and you are interested and engaged.... finally you stop her and and say... “have I told you I am in love with you today?” She giggles and says “no,” and you say, “I am.” Then you tell her you missed her today... and she smiles... the night ends awesomely...
oh and don’t forget to tuck the kids in first. Because, well that is what you do. That is what good dads and good husbands do.... they take care of their family!

Goodnight America... Being a dad is tough... but sometimes you will have to come home with dinner under your arm, pick up a kid in the other, give thanks for the food... eat, tuck the kids into bed, and then run your wife a bath, light a candle, tell her you got the kitchen and just to relax.... then carry her to the bedroom after she has dried off... and as tired as you are... you need to do this because... well that's what you do, you are the husband... you can catch your breath tomorrow... oh, and don't forget to scratch the dog behind the ear because he needs your attention as well.
; ) oh, and don't forget to smile and look your wife in the eyes, and while holding her gaze... tell your her you would die for her. When she falls asleep on your chest... toss up a prayer to the maker and tell Him... thank you... for you are blessed.

Goodnight America... When you have to be away working, make sure you call your wife... you need to call her before she calls you... She needs to know that you are thinking of her first. Have a poem you prepared before hand no matter how corny it is... and that you wrote just for her... It will show that you were thinking of her throughout the day... Write something along the lines of, your love for her numbers the stars in the heavens, and that you need her like the seashore needs the ocean... and like the desert needs the rain... When you have read it to her and laughed a little, make sure you are in the bed, and tell her that is where you are... because her voice is the last thing you want to hear before you fall asleep... Plan the family trip together, and talk with her through it... don't fix things just listen to her plans... tell her she is a blessing, and you can't wait to get home... and that you will call her tomorrow.... and before you do, text her that she is the most beautiful woman in the world.... Oh yeah, and hurry home... because the home fires are burning...
oh, and don't forget to bring the kids something cool. Because well... you are the dad.

The holiday seasons are a good time to heal family... A time to write a letter to your spouse, and admit your mistakes and shortcomings... a time to perhaps, sleep on the doorstep to show your undying faithfulness... Perhaps it is time for you to let her see your heart... a heart that says, "will you forgive me." Because when she lets you back into her heart... you better be ready to lead... When she opens the door and you stand up from sleeping on a the porch still stiff from the cold... as you straighten out your pants and look her in the eyes... you better be ready to say, "I need you forgive me..." then, take her into your arms with your hand at the small of her back and with the other hand tilt her chin up and kiss her like it was the very first time... with your eyes wide open... and when she catches you with your eyes open, tell her you will always keep them open from now on, because she is all you will ever want to see... Then tell her she is the most beautiful woman in the world... when she takes your hand and you walk inside, close the door and carry her to your room... tuck her in and kiss her, then tell her you will sleep on the couch tonight... because from now on, you are going to live by your actions' and not by your words.... wink at her and tell her you will see her for breakfast in the morning... when you get up before her and make the coffee, and get her breakfast ready... be smiling... for that day will start a new life for the both of you... a new beginning, and my friend... it will last.
; )
oh, and don't forget to smile!
