🎃A MASSIVE Thank You! 🎃

We want to extend a spooktacular thank you to everyone who came out to our 3rd Annual Halloween Carnival!

Because of YOU, our incredible community, families, staff, and volunteers. Our residents had an unforgettable night filled with laughter, treats, and spooky fun. Your kindness and energy lit up the evening and made it truly magical.

From the costumes to the candy, the games to the giggles, every moment was a reminder of the love and connection that makes Colonnades Assisted-Living & Carriage House Nursing & Rehab so special.

🎃 We at Carriage House value the tradition of carving a pumpkin.

There’s something truly special about pumpkin carving, the smell of fresh pumpkin, the laughter when someone’s face design goes “a little sideways,” and the joy of creating something from scratch.

For our residents, it’s more than just a craft, it’s a trip down memory lane! As many expressed the last time being young!

We believe that hope shines brightest when we stand together! 💕

This month, our residents and staff joined forces to raise awareness, share smiles, and show support for all those touched by cancer.

From pink ribbons and powerful workouts to creative crafts and heartfelt conversations every moment reminded us that strength is found in unity, and compassion is our greatest cure.

Here’s to our incredible residents and team, turning awareness into action and kindness into something truly beautiful.

Did you know Carriage House Used to be a drive in movie theater back in the day?

Starlite Opened in June, 1950 and was originally owned by Ashmun Theatres opened as a single screen with a second later added.
Later operated by Mid-States Theatres. Car capacity listed at 700 with two screens. The drive-in closed in July of 1987.

Today we continue the tradition of having a “Drive-In” movie for the first time in 42 years! Watching the Halloween Classic “Hocus Pocus”!

We received some beautiful Halloween inspired artwork from our Penpals today!

Over the past month, our residents have been connecting with a 4th-grade class, exchanging letters filled with stories, laughter, and friendship.

Each letter has carried a spark of life, bridging generations and reminding us all of the joy found in simple connection.

Today, the teacher surprised us with a special bonus delivery, colorful pieces of art made just for our residents, each one bursting with heart and imagination. These young artists have brightened our facility and warmed our hearts.
