Today we celebrated our dear friend and coworker, Chris Smith, on his retirement at the end of this month. We started with a great lunch at River Cantana, followed by cake and gifts at the health department. To honor Chris's dedication to Louisville, we wore red, even though we're all blue fans at heart. Chris, we love you and will miss you. We wish you all the best in your retirement and the next chapter.

During the 2025 federal government shutdown, Kentucky WIC participants should continue to use WIC services as normal until further notice. This includes continuing to use eWIC cards. WIC-approved stores are able to process purchases at this time. We encourage families to keep their WIC appointments and stay in contact with their local WIC clinics during the federal government shutdown.
