I am truly blessed to have the support of my immediate and extended family!
My aunts and uncles went on a pilgrimage to Rome and I went with them in spirit.
Every place they went they posted my picture and asked for prayers…
Even when they had an audience with the Pope himself! His Holiness said to them in their way out that he will pray for me.
I continue to be humbled and honored by all the prayers and support. Thank you all!

Home dialysis!

In August of 2024 I made the decision, with the support of my parents and family, to start learning about home dialysis.
It is quite a different approach, but is supposed to be healthier for one’s heart and body.
Lots of equipment and supplies that come monthly that are stored in the house.
I have learned how to setup, maintain, and order supplies for the dialysis machine. Additionally I have learned to self cannulate for hemodialysis.
A lot more time and work, but also more flexible and healthier.

Hello and thank you for visiting my Kidney journey page.

I am looking for a selfless person who is O+ to consider donating one of their kidneys.

I was diagnosed with acute kidney failure in October, 2022 and spent over two weeks in the hospital while they tried to understand what the underlying cause was. When entering the hospital on Friday, October 14 I had no idea why I was not feeling well, I attributed it to turning 40! After various treatments and medications, the doctors decided I needed dialysis to help reduce the fluid in my system.

I have been on dialysis since then and went regularly MWF at 5:00 AM. My job was very accommodating and allowed me to work remotely after returning from short term disability at the end of November.

I have been working and doing treatments since then.
