๐ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ๐
At Beaverton Eye Clinic, we honor the strength, courage, and resilience of every person affected by breast cancer โ from the warriors still in the fight, to the survivors, and those we've loved and lost. ๐
Breast cancer doesnโt just affect the body โ it touches every part of life, including your vision.
Chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapies can lead to side effects such as:
๐๏ธ Blurry vision
๐๏ธ Dry or watery eyes
๐๏ธ Light sensitivity
๐๏ธ Even changes to the retina or optic nerve in some cases
These changes can feel overwhelming on top of everything else โ but youโre not alone. Weโre here to support you with gentle, compassionate care every step of the way.
๐ฌ To those in treatment: You are incredibly strong. On the hard days, please remember that your courage is seen, your pain is valid, and your journey matters. We see you โ and weโre here for you.
๐๏ธ If you or a loved one is navigating treatment, we encourage you to schedule an eye exam. Itโs one more way to take care of your whole self during this time.
๐ With love and light from all of us at Beaverton Eye Health.
