We had the pleasure of meeting with Kathy Trick, Manager of the Miracle Clubhouse, and left truly inspired by the work being done right here in the Dayton community.

The Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley Miracle Clubhouse is a powerful, member-driven community supporting individuals on their journey of recovery from mental illness. Their mission is rooted in dignity, inclusion, resilience and eliminating stigma—values that deeply align with the work we do every day.

What Makes Miracle Clubhouse Special?
• It provides a supportive environment where members can grow, build confidence and pursue meaningful goals.
• Members and staff collaborate side-by-side in decision-making, governance, and daily operations—a model that promotes shared purpose and empowerment.
• The Clubhouse philosophy believes every individual can recover, thrive and live a productive, fulfilling life.

Part of a Global Movement
Since 1948, the Clubhouse model has expanded to more than 300 communities across 28 countries, offering a proven path to recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those living with persistent mental illness.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn more about this incredible resource and look forward to exploring ways our organizations can continue supporting mental-health recovery in the Dayton region.

There’s hope. There’s help. And places like Miracle Clubhouse and Beckett Springs make that hope visible every day.

The holidays can be especially difficult when you’re living with anxiety, depression, or other serious mental health challenges. While practices like gratitude in this season can help, sometimes professional support is needed to truly begin the healing process. If you or someone you love is struggling this season, know that you are not alone and help is available.

Luke from Charlie Health stopped by and brought dinner for the Intake team. He also gave a brief presentation introducing Charlie Health and its services.

Charlie Health is a virtual mental health care provider offering intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) tailored for teens and young adults. Founded in 2020, the organization was created in response to the growing mental health crisis among youth. Their programs provide accessible, personalized, and evidence-based treatment for mental health challenges, substance use, and eating disorders. Treatment typically spans 9–12 weeks and includes structured weekly sessions in group, individual, and family therapy formats.

Ensuring our clinicians and providers are educated on resources in the area is an important piece of the treatment puzzle. Working together with great organizations such as this ensure each individual receiving care or calling our hospital are getting the resources needed for their care.
