Raleigh General Hospital Raleigh General Hospital is an acute care facility located in Beckley, West Virginia.

For more than 100 years, Raleigh General Hospital has been an integral part of the lives of people throughout southern West Virginia. Our 300-bed acute care hospital offers a range of inpatient and outpatient services including specialty care for the heart and vascular system, cardiac catheterization lab, Level III trauma and emergency care, spine care, skilled nursing, pediatrics & obstetrics, an advanced wound care center, lithotripsy and urology care. RGH is proud to have the area’s only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI from the American College of Cardiology's (ACC) Accreditation Services and has also attained advanced certification by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Think you might have the flu? Here’s what to do to take care of yourself and protect others:

- Stay home and rest. Avoid work, school or public places. Rest helps your body fight the infection and prevents it from spreading to others.

- Monitor your symptoms. Keep track of severity, duration and any changes in symptoms like fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose.

- Hydrate and manage symptoms. Drink plenty of water or herbal tea. Over-the-counter medications can help with symptoms. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

- Seek medical care if needed. Call your healthcare provider if you experience trouble breathing, chest pain, severe weakness, confusion, persistent high fever or worsening symptoms, especially if you are pregnant, older or have chronic conditions. Early treatment can help reduce complications.

- Protect your community. Cover coughs and sneezes, wash your hands frequently and stay home until you’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.

We have another healed and happy patient! Mary Duncan has been with us since early 2024 with a stubborn surgical wound from squamous cell carcinoma. Mary was sent to vascular, where we then started using compression therapy to aid in wound healing. With weekly appointments and the dedication Mary had, she is finally healed!
