Raleigh General Hospital was proud to participate in the WVHA Healthcare Coalition South MRSE (Medical Response and Surge Exercise) drill alongside our regional partners today. This large-scale exercise brought together hospitals, healthcare facilities, and county emergency management teams from across the region to simulate and evaluate our response to a major emergency event. Drills like this are essential to ensuring we are prepared when it matters most. They allow us to test coordination, communication, and surge capacity helping strengthen our ability to care for our community during times of crisis. We’re grateful for the strong collaboration and commitment shown by all agencies involved. Working together, we continue to build a safer, more resilient healthcare system for southern West Virginia.

Today, we are proud to share that Clarence Crumb's wound has healed! This journey is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished with collaboration, dedication, and trust in the care plan. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to care for those who have served our country. To our patient, thank you for your service, and for allowing us to be a part of your healing journey.

Most seasonal allergies can be managed with over-the-counter medications and simple lifestyle changes, but it’s important to see a healthcare provider if your symptoms are worsening or affecting your daily life. A conversation with your doctor can help identify triggers and result in recommended treatments so you can make a plan to enjoy spring without discomfort.

This National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we’re reflecting on the incredible partnerships that help keep our community safe every day. Sharing a photo from this summer with our admin team and our partners at the Raleigh County 911 Center, a great group we’re proud to work alongside. In fact, they were here today helping us plan for our next drill, continuing that collaboration in action. We are so grateful for the dedication, communication, and teamwork that make a difference when it matters most.
