We stood together at a flag ceremony held in her memory, where a flag was flown for 48 hours to recognize her extraordinary final act of kindness: giving the gift of life through organ donation.

PJ’s generosity, spirit, and love for her residents and coworkers will live on forever. Fly high, PJ. You will always be in our hearts.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our dear friend, coworker, and nurse, PJ, as she was taken off life support to give the gift of life through organ donation.

PJ was full of warmth, laughter, and dedication — she loved her coworkers and residents deeply, and it showed every day.

Her absence will be felt profoundly, but her kindness and spirit will live on in the lives she touched and the lives she’s now saved.
