Should you fast?

Fasting can be a dramatic way to clean up cellular waste, sharpen your brain, lose weight, boost a weak immune system, optimize longevity, and slow down aging.

Fasting can also be a great gut reset and can really reset your relationship to food, binge eating and end cravings.

I used to be anti fasting but I have come around. You have probably heard that fasting is not good for menstruating women. That is just not true because there are so many different fasts that there is some kind of fast most everyone can do and would get tremendous value from. You just need to know when and how to do it.

Fasting is not just:
❌ Skipping breakfast everyday
❌Always restricting calories
❌Just having bulletproof coffee for breakfast
❌Obsessing over what you can or can’t eat

👉If you are interested in losing weight, stop binge eating, end food cravings, or slowing down the aging process you need to think about fasting.

Like I said there are so many ways to fast.

🍽 Fasting had always been hard for me because I was doing it totally wrong and I also I tried to do too much too fast. It wasn’t until I tried the Fast Mimicing Diet (FMD) that I was fully able to dive in and feel awesome fasting.

Ok so who should NOT fast?
🚫Pregnant or breastfeeding women
🚫If you are super stressed
🚫In adrenal burnout
🚫Eating disorder or history of eating disorder
🚫Are underweight
🚫Are reliant on insulin for type II Diabetes
🚫Severe hypoglycemia (blood sugar swings)
🚫Those with anemia
🚫Recovering from an injury or illness
🚫If you have advanced disease like liver, kidney or heart disease
🚫people with porphyria (a group of rare diseases in which chemical substances called porphyrins accumulate with high metabolism)
🚫people with a rare genetic, fatty-acid deficiency of acetyl CoA (preventing ketosis from occurring)

WHY ALL DIETS SUCK

⛔️They make you follow rules that override your intuition.

⛔️They become a dogmatic ideology that is divisive.

⛔️They promote nutritional extremism.

⛔️They don’t prioritize nutrient density above all else.

🍏When you are following a diet you make decisions based on labels - “paleo” “vegan” “keto” without looking at the nutrient density.

👎Food can be ‘paleo’ but if the meat is not pasture raised and the produce not organic then it sucks.

👎Food can be ‘vegan’ but if its made of weird chemical soy fake meat stuff then it sucks.

👎Food can be ‘keto’ just because the macros are right but the food itself can be nutrient poor and suck.

So F the labels and dig a bit deeper.

✅Is the produce local, in season, and organic?

✅Is the beef 100% grass-fed, chicken organic pasture-raised, and fish sustainably wild caught?

✅Is the food as close to the natural food state (not processed)?

✅Does it have nasty chemical additives?

✅Is this food right for you right now?

📣THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN A FOOD IS NUTRIENT DENSITY, NOT WHAT DIET IT FALLS UNDER.

So many clients come to me and say “Just tell me what to eat!”

Sorry doesn’t work like that. Only your body knows what is good for it right now.

I can give you guidelines but I want to put your intuition and body back in the driver seat of your diet.

STEPS TO HEAL:
✅Remove yourself from the mold.
‼️Remediate or move. Contact experts for remediation.

✅Support your whole body with the diet tips from yesterday.

✅Support liver detox and drainage pathways.
‼️Make sure you are pooping everyday.

✅Use bile movers & stimulators as toxins bind to bile to be exported out of the body. If you don’t have enough bile, binders will be useless.

✅Support Phase 2.5 detox - the transport proteins that take the toxins from the liver and into the GI for excretion. Inflammation blocks this and toxins get backed up.

✅Use whole body & nasal antifungals at the same time. You need both.

✅Use biofilm busters - if this has been going on a while you will need advanced biofilm support (I use a special combo of bismuth + thiol for advanced support).

✅Use binders - but specific toxins need specific binders. Test to find out what toxins you have exactly. If you don’t bind toxins they have high chances of getting reabsorbed.

Mycotoxins (mold toxins) get in food during the processing, transport, and storage of foods
