🌟TUESDAY TRANSFORMATION STORY🌟
Today we’re hearing from Julie from Oregon! 🩵
Here’s her story: ➡️
If you’ve been thinking about trying Burn, I want to share a little of my story with you. Before COVID, I was running marathons and felt like I was in great shape. Like many of us who work in healthcare, I continued to carry post-COVID grief and trauma. At one point, I reached out to my friend, Lisa McKinley Chocktoot, and told her, “You have to help me. I need to start running again for my mental and physical health.” Lisa shared that she was trying Burn-recommended by her friend Emily (who absolutely loved it)- so we decided to give it a chance together.
Being completely honest and vulnerable, the last place I wanted to be was at a gym where everyone could see how out of shape I felt. For the first couple of camps, I was nervous. But I quickly realized how kind and welcoming everyone is. We motivate each other, laugh when we forget what exercise comes next, and cheer each other on. There is a real sense of community and collaboration that I’ve never experienced in a workout facility before. I truly fell in love with how inviting and safe the environment feels.
Burn also offers activities both inside and outside the gym that bring people together. They’re not only fun, but they’ve led to new friendships that I am incredibly grateful for. Signing up for camps has also kept me accountable-I now go consistently five days a week. And they’re so understanding if I’m a little late or have to step out for a work call, which I really appreciate.
Choosing Burn has been one of the best decisions I’ve made to prioritize myself and invest in a healthier version of me. Now, I can’t imagine Burn not being a part of my life! I will always be that person in camp for you-whether you’re new, nervous, or just need a workout partner. I’m here to help you feel comfortable and supported on your fitness and health journey.
