I wrote this article because I could not stop thinking about the women who will read about the 2026 CNN investigation into online networks where men allegedly shared advice on how to drug, assault, film, and exploit wives or partners was horrifying, but for many women, the most disturbing part is not that it happened. It is how close to home it can feel for far too many women.
Some women will recognize that fear instantly. The missing memories. The strange grogginess. The feeling that something is off in their own home, their own bed, their own relationship. Long before they have proof, many already know something is wrong. I wanted to write this for them:
