Some of the best ideas in rural health care start right here in Cochise County!

This week, Benson Hospital & Northern Cochise Community Hospital CEO, Gary Kartchner and CNO Velma Cooper are sharing their real-world experience and successes with leaders from across the country at the 39th Annual AHA Rural Health Care Leadership Conference.

Both Gary and Velma know that providing care in rural and outlying communities takes creativity, strong leadership, and a culture that truly supports the people doing the work. We know a flexible, connected workforce is a big part of what makes that possible.

Their shared leadership model across both hospitals has made a real difference right here in Cochise County for our neighbors.
