Sarah's RuN will not be held this year (fall 2014). It is impossible to thank the family, friends and businesses that have donated and assisted in the organization and ex*****on of Sarah's RuN over the years. However, the time needed to prepare for the event and the emotional toll it takes on family and friends seems to get harder as our families continue to grow and schedules become more hectic. Our desire from the beginning was to have a fun event that honored the memory of Sarah and also earned much needed funding for students in the greatest of professions-nursing.
We don't want the RuN to become something that people feel obligated to attend rather than something they look forward to. The family is exceedingly proud of the funds that have been donated for the past RuNs and happily report that local nursing students will continue to receive scholarships in Sarah's memory for many years to come. We all feel so honored to know that all of you have so williingly given your love, time and financial support to Sarah's RuN. The scholarship fund in Sarah's name will continue to accept donations and the scholarship committee will continue to assist deserving local nursing students.
