Thought of the day-

You can clear your side of the street—release the revenge, hand him and the situation over to God—and still keep your boundaries and your pace. You can say in your own words, “I’m not carrying this as my job anymore, but I’m also not pretending it didn’t happen.” That’s not bitterness, that’s called wisdom.
Your job is not to comfort everybody else with how quickly you “bounce back.” Your job is to walk this out in a way that actually lines up with what God’s doing in you and with what your body can carry without cracking again.

A God who cannot handle your honest emotions is not the God of the Bible. That version of God—the one you have to tiptoe around, the one who is allergic to your anger, the one who needs you to shrink so the marriage looks ‘fine’—that god is an idol built out of other people’s fear, control, and bad teaching. And every time you silence your real voice to honor that false version, the real God is not applauding your submission. He is grieving the distance it creates between the two of you.
