We hosted Winter Ball preparty for my daughter Charlotte’s high school class. I know we often joke about teenagers and their crazy ways, but they’re working at life just like we are! Let’s face it—kids make (before the dance) make everything fun! Especially my own!!🥰

Loved the excitement the party dresses, the boys, even the sushi! Could not be more fun celebrating the holidays with these kids!

This is me posing. Well, trying to anyway and it really doesn’t feel too authentic, although the sweater is really soft and feels good. During the pandemic, I scrolled Instagram probably more than I should have, but I did. Eye candy for sure. I saw a lot of young women—posing and looking good, selling stuff, talking about stuff; living on-line perfect and not-so-perfect. Here’s the thing. I didn't see that many women my age..anywhere! I wanted to to start a blog about women and aging.

I’m older and I don’t feel like I’m old (not that old)…or even know what it’s supposed to feel like or how I’m supposed to be. So, I figured I’d investigate and discover and write about it. I wanted to show that women aren’t defined by age because we’re always aging. But what’s inside...now, that’s where the beauty is. It’s resilience, confidence, creativity, warmth, humor, ingenuity and a lot of other totally juicy stuff that resides inside all of us gals (at any age)…and I was trying to get that across with this pose. Well, maybe can do the pose and get all of that across, but I can only attempt to and feel like I’m 14 all over again.

In a way, aging is just that, coming out to yourself and the world all over again, each time a new milestone, discovery, or growth point exists! And that’s reason to explore and celebrate and be grateful for another year to do just that.

24 hours in Boston to see Jack and celebrate his 24 years with us! So happy to celebrate another year for our oldest who sets a high bar of love and care for everyone around him. How good it is to be able to come see him! Walk around Boston Common, see great art and eat delicious food. Cannot wait until we’re all together!

Who doesn’t love this time of year? It cannot get any better, love the weather, the colors, the clothes. And, all of the friends and family! I’ve been waiting for all of it (everyone has).

Fall! Nothing like a sweet fall table to get me in the mood for cozy sweaters, casseroles, and warm drinks! While everyone is working on Holiday Decor, we’re still enjoying the beautiful fall colors.

Easy table setting with everyday dishes and glasses. The trick here — I arranged a few flowers from my Traders Joes mixed bouquet in votive holders. With this addition, every day turns into something a little nicer, a little more fall…and why not make it nice? It’s easy.

It's still HOT! here in the DC area! and my spring/summer hobby is still going strong. Planting that fall/winter garden, my lettuce and peppers are in abundance. Think kale, spinach, peas, leeks. Hardy greens! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A hobby I started in lockdown (I failed at bread making), has now become a part of my routine. Actually growing something (other than my kids) has been pretty exciting. Something new to see, it's totally distracting. I just dig, water, and fertilize. Time flies. The plants are pretty quiet, they don't complain, drive badly, or have a deadline. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Try plants--of course eating them...or planting them!

Move on Monday! Weights -- they help with everything -- metabolic fat burning, bone density, even ignite your brain. Any weight is better than no weight (but the heavier the better). Walk with them, squat with some, or lift with your arms. All works!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A deficiency in bone density runs in the women in my family on both sides! Weight lifting helps to prevent this loss. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm not a trainer or health coach, but I've been lifting for 15 years and it helps with my daily health routine, my posture, and my strength and energy. I never miss weight day!
